He graduated from Roland Michener High School, winning several awards including the Governor General Medal.Cory graduated from the University of Alberta in 1998 with distinct honours in his Bachelor of Science and Computers.Hal was always the life of the party with his carefree attitude; he always just wanted to make everyone laugh with his jokes.As long as everyone else was having a good time, so was he.May 4th, 1963 – November 15th 2017 With very heavy hearts we announce the sudden & unexpected passing of Hal, who succumbed to complications from bacterial meningitis. At a young age, Hal ventured off to Slave Lake, AB, in search of work, where he also found the love of his & future wife, Julie.Together they raised a beautiful, close-knit family.Even though Hal’s life came to an end too soon, & there was much life for him still to live, he passed with a lot of good memories, proud moments, & accomplishments.We are so proud of the man our Hal was in our lives, a loving husband, dedicated father, almost grandpa, & an amazing brother, son, & friend.
Irene was predeceased by her Mom, Cora; one brother, Lawrence; and one sister, Gail. Harold Frank Hedin of Slave Lake, Alberta, passed away on October 01, 2017 at pm at the age of 84 years.Hal would help anyone in need, because that’s just the guy he was.He had the biggest heart, despite his leathery biker appearance.Cory also leaves to mourn his loss, his fellow co-worker and lifetime friend, Dino (Gillis) Cuthbert.He was predeceased by his nephew, Kaden Abelson; uncle, Garry Womacks; grandparents, Emilia and Paul Mudryk; and aunt, Karen Mc Kinnon.
